An impact driver contains a different mechanism to drive the bit, so it can only use bits with a hex shank. This approach works to an extent, but the human reflex is only able to do about one bump per second, while an impact driver can deliver about 50 bumps per second. I have just built a log store and the impact driver made screwing in 80mm screws very easy and fast. What Is An Impact The Ryobi drill and Ridgid Hammer Drill look very similar. This article helped me understand the differences between it and drills. New bits allow you to do everything with it that you can do with a traditional drill, so you're only missing out on the hammering action needed for concrete type materials.
